Sprinto Review 2026: Pricing, Real Reviews and 5 Catches

By Marçal Santos, CISO and founder of SecureLeap. CISM and CDPSE (ISACA). Previously security roles at Aircall, Citibank and Talkdesk. 20+ years in cybersecurity and more than 30 SOC 2 audits led over his career.

‍

Sprinto is a good choice for startups under about 100 employees on a standard cloud stack: it lists at $9,500 a year and scores 4.7 out of 5 from 1,685 G2 reviews. Two catches decide whether it stays good. The support reviewers praise is mostly a named customer success manager, which Sprinto's pricing page lists on the Growth plan, not Foundation. And the $9,500 buys the platform and one framework, not the audit that produces your SOC 2 report.

‍

Quick answer: Sprinto is a compliance automation platform for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS, founded in 2020. Its published list price is $9,500 a year ($7,500 for the platform up to 100 employees, plus $2,000 for the first framework), and the CPA audit is extra. It scores 4.7 out of 5 on G2 (1,685 reviews) and Capterra (86 reviews). It fits startups under about 100 employees on a standard cloud stack chasing a first SOC 2 or ISO 27001 with guidance. Check the plan, the auditor choice and your integrations before you sign.

‍

"A compliance platform collects the evidence. It does not decide your scope or fix a failing control, and that is where first audits slip," says Marçal Santos, CISO and founder of SecureLeap.

‍

This Sprinto review is written from the vCISO side of the table. SecureLeap is not a Sprinto partner and earns nothing from Sprinto sales. We have run client SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs on Sprinto, Vanta, Drata and Secureframe, and we checked every number below against its source on 21 October 2026.

‍

What is Sprinto?

‍

Sprinto is a compliance automation platform. It connects to your cloud, identity, code, HR and device tools, runs continuous checks against framework controls, collects evidence, and gives your auditor a dashboard to review it. Around that core it adds policy templates, security training, risk and vendor reviews, a public trust center and AI answers for security questionnaires.

‍

Sprinto was founded in 2020 by Girish Redekar (CEO) and Raghuveer Kancherla. It has raised $31.8 million, including a $20 million Series B led by Accel in April 2024, and says more than 3,000 companies in 75 countries use it.

‍

Sprinto is repositioning upmarket. Its own 2026 review names mid-market companies with 500 to 10,000 employees as the best fit, and its G2 profile now calls it an "Autonomous Trust Platform". The reviews tell a different story: all ten reviews on G2's first page in October 2026 came from companies with 50 or fewer employees. Judge it on what those buyers report, not on the positioning.

‍

What Sprinto is not: a CPA firm. It cannot issue a SOC 2 report or an ISO 27001 certificate. An independent auditor does that, and your team still owns scoping, remediation and running the controls every day.

‍

Sprinto pricing in 2026: what $9,500 buys

‍

Sprinto's pricing page shows two plans, Foundation and Growth, both sold through sales. The one public price is Sprinto's own AWS Marketplace listing:

‍

  • Sprinto Starter Platform: $7,500 for 12 months, all core platform features for up to 100 employees
  • First compliance framework: from $2,000, one of SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CPRA or GDPR

‍

That makes $9,500 a year the list price floor for one framework. G2 reviewers report an average discount of 14%, which would bring it to about $8,200, and 415 of them put the return on investment at 8 months, against 11 months for Vanta. Extra frameworks, professional services, Zones for multiple business units, and the enterprise risk, trust and vendor modules are add-ons, quoted separately.

‍

The platform is rarely the biggest number in year one. For a company under 50 employees doing a SOC 2 Type 1 on the Security criteria only, a realistic first-year bill looks like this:

‍

Year-one cost of SOC 2 Type 1 with Sprinto for a company under 50 employees: 7,500 dollars for the platform, 2,000 dollars for the SOC 2 framework, 5,000 to 12,000 dollars for the audit and 4,000 to 8,000 dollars for a penetration test, 18,500 to 29,500 dollars in total

‍

Line item Year-one cost Paid to
Sprinto platform, up to 100 employees $7,500 (list) Sprinto
First framework (SOC 2) $2,000 (list) Sprinto
SOC 2 Type 1 audit fee $5,000 to $12,000 CPA firm
Penetration test $4,000 to $8,000 Pentest firm
Total cash out $18,500 to $29,500 Three suppliers
Remediation, policies, evidence uploads Not on any invoice Your team

‍

‍

The audit and pentest ranges come from our SOC 2 cost guide. A penetration test is not required by name for SOC 2, but most auditors and enterprise buyers expect one (SOC 2 penetration testing requirements). A Type 2 swaps the Type 1 fee for $8,000 to $18,000.

‍

Foundation vs Growth: the plan decides the support you get

‍

Most Sprinto praise is about people. On G2, Customer Support is the second most tagged pro (346 mentions, after Ease of Use with 418), and the five-star reviews name their customer success manager or technical account manager by first name. Sprinto's pricing page lists the dedicated CSM, Slack or Teams support, weekend priority support and quarterly business reviews on Growth only. Foundation gets 24x5 priority email and in-app support.

‍

Feature Foundation Growth
Continuous monitoring and automated evidence Yes Yes
Auditors from Sprinto's network Yes Yes
Bring your own auditor Not listed Yes
Bring your own controls, custom workflows, custom API No Yes
Programmable monitors and rule engine No Yes
AI security questionnaire answers 20 a year Same as Foundation
Public trust center with custom domain Yes Yes
Roles and access Default roles and SSO Custom roles, RBAC, multi-approval
Support 24x5 priority email, in-app Adds a dedicated CSM, Slack or Teams, weekend priority support, quarterly reviews

‍

‍

Two lines matter most. Bring your own auditor is listed on Growth only. On Foundation you pick from Sprinto's auditor network, which works for a first SOC 2 but not if a buyer, an investor or your existing firm has already named the auditor. And if the onboarding stories in reviews are why Sprinto made your shortlist, get the named CSM written into the order form.

‍

What users say: Sprinto reviews on G2 and Capterra

‍

On G2, 1,487 of Sprinto's 1,685 reviews are five stars and only 7 are one or two stars. On Capterra it holds 4.7 from 86 reviews, with 4.8 for ease of use and 4.7 for customer service. Against the other big platforms, G2's comparisons with Vanta, Drata and Secureframe put Sprinto first on meeting requirements, ease of use, setup and admin. On quality of support it ties Secureframe at 9.4 and trails Drata's 9.5.

‍

G2 review tags for Sprinto: ease of use 418 and customer support 346 mentions as pros, integration issues 74 and limited integrations 42 as cons; 1,487 of 1,685 reviews are five stars

‍

‍

For the detail below, we read the ten reviews on G2's first page, the lowest-rated recent G2 reviews and the 25 most helpful Capterra reviews on 21 October 2026.

‍

What reviewers like

‍

  • A guided first audit. Reviewers repeatedly describe SOC 2 Type 1 or ISO 27001 readiness in weeks and credit the onboarding team. One co-founder reports SOC 2 Type 2 in under 3 months.
  • Evidence that collects itself. One engineer connected GitHub, AWS, Google Workspace and Supabase in an afternoon, then watched laptop checks (disk encryption, screen lock, patches) report continuously across about 98 SOC 2 controls.
  • Help with manual evidence. For controls no integration can check, you upload a document or screenshot and Sprinto tells you whether it meets the check and what to change if not.
  • Several frameworks at once. A founder running SOC 2, GDPR and ISO 27001 in parallel credits the auditor dashboard and the pre-built policies, which the auditors accepted as they were.

‍

What reviewers complain about

‍

  • Integration gaps outside the mainstream stack. Integration Issues (74) and Limited Integrations (42) are the top G2 cons. A DevSecOps director names Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Cloud as missing, and a COO needed workarounds for Microsoft 365.
  • The Dr. Sprinto endpoint agent. Reviewers describe laptop telemetry that stops sending and has to be chased by hand. A Capterra reviewer adds that it needs a desktop app and has limited Linux support.
  • Support after year one. The lowest recent G2 review (1.5 out of 5, July 2026) describes a good first year that got worse. "Responses to simple questions take up to two weeks," wrote its author, a Senior DevSecOps Director at a company of 50 or fewer employees.
  • AI questionnaire answers. One reviewer found that Excel questionnaires with dropdown answers broke the automation shown in the demo.
  • Uploaded evidence passes by default. A Capterra reviewer warns that uploaded evidence is marked as passed with no signal that it is right. Your auditor judges it later.
  • Navigation. Finding a control, its evidence and the right policy version takes more clicks than it should, and workflows feel rigid beyond the standard setup.

‍

Most of the complaints cluster where a company leaves the standard cloud-native path (Microsoft security tooling, Linux laptops, unusual evidence) and after the onboarding team hands over.

‍

The 5 catches to check before you sign

‍

  1. The plan decides your support and your auditor. The dedicated CSM and bring your own auditor are Growth features. Confirm both on the order form, not the demo.
  2. 200+ frameworks is not 200 automated frameworks. The pricing page says 25+ frameworks automated out of the box and 200+ frameworks digitized. Digitized means the requirements are loaded, not that checks run against your systems. Ask which of your frameworks have automated checks.
  3. The integration count depends on who is counting. Sprinto's pricing page says 300+ integrations, its AWS listing says 200+, and its G2 profile shows 62 verified by Sprinto. Send your system list and ask which controls each connection evidences.
  4. The endpoint agent is the weak link. Pilot Dr. Sprinto on your real laptop fleet, Linux included, before a Type 2 observation window starts. A month of missing device evidence is an audit exception.
  5. Scope, remediation and the audit stay with you. Sprinto shows what is failing. Deciding what is in scope, fixing it and passing the audit remain your team's and your auditor's work.

‍

Sprinto vs Vanta, Drata and Secureframe

‍

Platform Entry price (list) G2 rating Best for
Sprinto $9,500 a year, platform plus one framework 4.7 (1,685 reviews) Small teams on a standard cloud stack who want guided onboarding
Vanta About $10,000 a year (Core) 4.5 (2,853 reviews) The broadest integration catalog and auditor network
Drata From $7,500 a year (Foundation) 4.7 (1,397 reviews) Engineering-led teams that need custom tests, an API and several frameworks
Secureframe From $7,500 a year 4.7 (835 reviews) Teams that want hands-on onboarding and managed help

‍

‍

G2 ratings checked on 21 October 2026. Entry prices for the other three come from our reviews of Vanta, Drata and Secureframe. For the wider field, see our Vanta alternatives list and the SOC 2 tools guide.

‍

Our read: Sprinto leads all three on G2 for ease of use, setup and admin, ties Secureframe on support and trails Drata by 0.1. On price it matches them at the entry tier rather than undercutting them. Integrations are the top G2 complaint for both Sprinto and Vanta. Vanta has the larger catalog, while Sprinto draws fewer integration complaints per review (116 mentions on 1,685 reviews, against 328 on 2,853 for Vanta).

‍

Thinking of switching from Vanta to Sprinto? Finish the current audit cycle first. Moving platforms means re-mapping controls, reconnecting every integration and re-collecting evidence, and that work lands in the middle of your audit window if you start too early.

‍

Who should choose Sprinto (and who should not)

‍

Sprinto is a good fit if

‍

  • You have fewer than about 100 employees, so the $7,500 Starter platform tier applies
  • Your stack is mainstream: AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, Google Workspace or Okta, GitHub or GitLab, Jira and a common HR tool
  • This is your first SOC 2 or ISO 27001 and nobody on the team has run an audit before
  • You are happy to use an auditor from Sprinto's network, or you will buy Growth
  • You need two or three frameworks within a year and want to reuse the same controls

‍

Look elsewhere if

‍

  • Your security tooling is Microsoft-heavy (Sentinel, Defender for Cloud) or you run on-premises systems
  • You need a specific audit firm and can only afford the entry plan
  • Many of your controls are custom and need programmable checks from day one (Sprinto Growth, or Drata's custom tests)
  • You want a named CSM but can only budget for Foundation
  • You want someone to run the program, not a tool to run it with: a vCISO or SOC 2 consultant plus a lighter tool fits better

‍

What Sprinto will not do for your SOC 2

‍

Every compliance platform splits the work the same way. Sprinto connects to your systems, runs checks, supplies templates and training, and gives the auditor a dashboard. Your team runs the controls, fixes what fails and signs the policies. The CPA firm tests the controls and issues the report.

‍

Who does what in a SOC 2 project on Sprinto: the platform collects evidence, your team runs and fixes controls, a scope and remediation lead such as a vCISO decides scope, and the CPA firm issues the report

‍

‍

The gap in that split is the person who decides scope, sets remediation priorities against the audit date and answers the auditor when a control is ambiguous. In a startup that is usually the CTO, on top of the day job.

‍

That is the work a vCISO does. Because SecureLeap does not resell Sprinto, we run client programs on whichever platform fits the company, and for Vanta, Drata and Secureframe we can pass through partner pricing.

‍

Questions to ask Sprinto before you sign

‍

  1. Which plan is this quote for, and is a named CSM in the order form?
  2. Can we use our own auditor, and on which plan?
  3. Which of our frameworks have automated checks, and which are digitized only?
  4. For each system on our list, which controls does the integration evidence?
  5. Where is our data hosted, and which sub-processors handle it? European buyers should get the hosting region in writing.
  6. What is the renewal price cap, and is it in the contract?
  7. How many AI questionnaires are included, and what does the next one cost?
  8. Can we export all evidence and policies in a usable format if we leave?

‍

Frequently asked questions

‍

Is Sprinto a good compliance platform?

‍

Yes, for small teams on a standard cloud stack: it holds 4.7 out of 5 on both G2 (1,685 reviews) and Capterra (86 reviews), and it leads Vanta, Drata and Secureframe on G2 ease of use. It is weaker for Microsoft-heavy security stacks, Linux laptops and heavily customized controls.

‍

How much does Sprinto cost?

‍

Sprinto lists $9,500 a year on AWS Marketplace: $7,500 for the platform for up to 100 employees plus $2,000 for the first framework. Direct quotes for the Foundation and Growth plans are custom, and the CPA audit is billed separately.

‍

Does Sprinto do the SOC 2 audit?

‍

No, Sprinto is software, not a CPA firm, so it cannot issue a SOC 2 report. It gives you access to auditors in its network, and an independent CPA firm performs the audit and signs the report.

‍

Is Sprinto cheaper than Vanta?

‍

At list price it is slightly cheaper: $9,500 a year for one framework against about $10,000 for Vanta Core. Drata and Secureframe start lower at around $7,500, so Sprinto competes on support and ease of use more than on price.

‍

Where is Sprinto based?

‍

Sprinto was founded in 2020, gives San Francisco as its base, and its seller on G2 is Sprinto Technology Private Limited, an Indian company. If you need customer data hosted in the EU, ask for the hosting region and sub-processor list in writing before you sign.

‍

How long does SOC 2 take with Sprinto?

‍

G2 reviewers report 2 months on average to implement Sprinto, and a SOC 2 Type 1 audit can follow soon after. A Type 2 adds an observation window of 3 to 12 months before the auditor can issue the report.
